The Key Laboratory of Functional Polymer Materials of the Ministry of Education held an academic committee meeting.

Nankai University News (Correspondent Li Zhanyong) On March 17, the 2023 Annual Academic Committee Meeting of the Key Laboratory of Functional Polymer Materials (hereinafter referred to as "Key Laboratory") was held at Nankai University. The meeting was chaired by Academician Yang Yuliang, Director of the Academic Committee of the Key Laboratory, and Academician Yang Wantai, Vice Director. Academicians Li Yongfang, Chen Xuesi, Professor Chen Hong, Professor Chen Yongming, Professor Fu Qiang, Professor Jiang Xiqun, Professor Li Aimin, Professor Li Yuesheng, Professor Li Zichen, Professor Shi Linqi, Professor Sun Junqi, Professor Yang Zhenzhong, and Professor Zhang Xianzheng, among others, attended the meeting. Academician Chen Jun, Vice President of Nankai University, also attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The heads of the School of Science and Technology Research and the School of Chemistry, as well as teachers and students from the Key Laboratory, participated in the meeting.
In his speech, Chen Jun expressed gratitude to the experts of the Academic Committee for their support and guidance on the work of the Key Laboratory, affirmed the hard work and efforts of the teachers and students of the Key Laboratory, and encouraged the Key Laboratory to take the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Institute of Polymer Chemistry as an opportunity to strive for excellence, act effectively, occupy a high position, and have a broad vision, making new achievements and results based on learning and inheriting the scientific spirit of the older generation of scientists.
Professor Zhang Wangqing, Director of the Key Laboratory, presented the 2023 work report, summarizing the phased achievements of the Key Laboratory, analyzing the existing problems, and proposing future development plans and ideas for the Key Laboratory. Subsequently, Professors Liu Yang, Yu Zhilin, Liu Yongsheng, and Wang Hong presented representative achievements on topics such as "Immunomodulatory Functional Polymer Materials," "Peptide Assembly-Based Biomedical Functional Materials," "Efficient Low-Dimensional Perovskite Solar Cells," and "Supramolecular Polyionic Liquid Porous Membranes."
In the afternoon, the Academic Committee convened. The head of the School of Chemistry expressed heartfelt hopes that the experts would provide guidance and support for the construction and development of the Key Laboratory.
